So Totally In Love....

This daughter of ours is the number one best thing that has happened to us since we got married! I say it all the time, and I can't say it enough....I love this girl! Her personality is growing and growing each and every day. She's really funny! She's learning how to see how far she can go before getting in trouble. She taught herself this week how to get on the love seat and laughs and giggles so much when she finally makes it up to the seat. She loves to stand on the love seat and completely understands that she's not allowed to do it. But, she does it anyway...and when we start counting to three she throws herself down and just laughs and laughs! Funny, huh? Some people think it's an attitude, and while we should probably be getting frustrated about that, we cant help but laugh because she's so stinking cute!

She's growing up before our very eyes! I can't believe she will be a year and a half next month! I don't know where all the time has gone. It seems lime just a moment ago I was seeing her and hearing her cry for the very first time....and I blinked and she's running around, talking, singing, laughing, and making me love her even more!

What a joy being Ava's mommy is! What a blessing! I can only praise my God for placing her in my life!

One Year Photo Shoot

Last week, our photographer got Ava's one year pictures to us. I was amazed when I looked through the pictures because Ava was not feeling well at all and was really fussy! Once again, our photographer didn't let us down and got some wonderful shots of our precious baby! Take a look at some of our favorites! The Family Now Knows!

This has been a great week for us. We told my mom, Grant, Mandy, and Sarah on Wednesday night after small group. Mom was totally surprised and excited. Sarah was excited too! Mandy said she guessed it so she wasn’t that surprised. Mom couldn’t wait to tell her mom, so we all loaded into Grant’s CRV and drove over to Granny’s. They were really excited as well. We were so glad we could tell that news with part of our family. The next night we were going to tell Kyle’s mom and sister, Katie. They were ecstatic! Now that we have told some of our family, this pregnancy seems to becoming more of a reality every day. Now I can talk with my mom and Kyle’s mom about what I am experiencing and it is awesome to not have to keep this a secret from them anymore. My sister, Mandy (Amanda to everyone else but family), asked if I wanted to go to a big sale at a consignment store yesterday. I said yes just to have something to do knowing that I wouldn’t buy anything because I am already starting to g...

We're Having a Baby!

Pardon the hair and the outfit, this was really early in the morning! The Results Are In! Proud Father Holding the Test Kyle and I found out on Sunday, February 1, that we are pregnant! We had made the decision in November to go off the pill at the beginning of the New Year. We had talked a lot about starting a family, and prayed a lot about it too. We had always said that we wanted to wait until we had been married five years before we wanted to start trying, but one day in November, we just started talking about it. Both of us felt a stirring in our hearts and felt God saying that this would be a good time. We were excited about getting off the pill, but had a constant thought in the back of our minds that it would probably take months for us to get pregnant. We prayed that God would bless us with children and it was a constant conversation that was going whenever we were alone-it was our secret. We didn’t tell anyone that we were not using any birth control, and we were so excite...
